holiday except...
My birthday!
A whole day to express your love to those you love and it comes with gifts... usually the chocolate kind.
So sweet!!!
How can you not want to participate in the spreading of love? Other than the crazy amount of pressure on you to find the right gift, yet again... and once again remember not to eat too much chocolate... you might just find that you love the idea of spreading love around.
Now, I am not just talking about having a significant other... sharing love with your friends, family, co-workers, or business partners is a lot of fun too... I mean they created a whole other day out of it called "Galentines" and it is fabulously fun to spend some time loving on your friends and making great memories.
I spent two years having fabulous self-care parties with all of my girlfriends just before Valentines Day... we called it spa day and had a ton of fun. We always had some DIY's with essential oils, massage treatments, pedicures, facials, lunch, fruity water.... and a healthy desert. So much love for those days when I just needed some adult time and to be loved on.
Plus ministering and serving others helped fill my cup to an overflow that got me through a lot of crazy and tough times I had as a single mama.
It was at one of those very events that I sat with my girlfriends in our church building offering foot baths to them and sitting around talking that I announced my first date with the man that is now the love of my life... and it was just two days later... on Valentines Day, that we had our very first date.
